RED, WHITE & BLUE NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday June 29, 2023

Hello Dancers, 

        You are invited to a RED, WHITE & BLUE NIGHT DANCE PARTY this Thursday June 29, 2023, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, and prizes for best Red, White & Blue attire. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The incredible DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast, again.

 
  There'll be prayers for dancer Cindy Geniza who sadly passed away this weekend, and prayers for her husband Chito and their family.

 
 DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, June 22nd, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a nice-weather night.  There were over 30 dancers in attendance.  Here are some photos:

 

 

 BY THE LAKE.  Early in the evening there were people posing by Eastlake. Let's see if I can name them correctly. In the photo above you see Janet, Lou, Florita, Edith, May, Nora, 1st-timer Vilma, Lynn, 1st-timer Beth, 1st-timer Eva, and Beth posing by Eastlake.

 

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In the photo above, Florita, Beth and DJ Bing were in the front line, more or less, during the popular line dance "Flowers" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Iz74SJVZ7Q ).  Eastlake line dancers won the top line dance prize at Dance-A-Thon last night, and some will repeat the dance on Thursday at Eastlake.

 

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

A FILIPINO NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, June 8th, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a nice-weather night.  There were 55 dancers in attendance.  Here are some photos, most were copied from Facebooks:

 BEFORE EATING, dancers, many in their Filipino Night attire, posed for the group photo above. Beth gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In one of Nedy's selfies above, Eden and Nida were in the front line, more or less, with line dancers.  "Roll It" line dance favorite was played twice, but I think this was another favorite called "Flowers" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Iz74SJVZ7Q ).

 

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was plentiful, including a special number sung by Romy in another of Nedy's selfies above.  While Romy sang "Pretty Young Girl" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-eMnHTAjdk ), a manila swing dance, dancers like Annie and Edna enjoyed dancing.

 

 

 

 BEST FILIPINO NIGHT ATTIRE WINNERS (COUPLES) posed for the photo above.  They were Daris & Victoria, John & Faye, DJ Nickie & Aurea, Irish & Roland, Lolit & Michael, Cindy & Chito, and Geraldine & Romy. DJ Bing & Janet were also winners but they were not in this photo.     Josie helped Edith with the prizes.
