MAY BIRTHDAYS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday May 12, 2022

 Hello Dancers,  

  You are invited to a MAY BIRTHDAYS PARTY DANCE NIGHT this Thursday May 12, 2022, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages and roses for birthday ladies. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The amazing DJ Nickie Bascos will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

  MASKS required?  Well, the homeowners association still has a "masks recommended" sign on the door.  In order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, a bad cough, or other serious cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A CINCO DE MAYO & MEXICAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY AT EASTLAKE was last Thursday, May 5th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, and about 30 dancers. Here are a few photos (many were taken by Ric):

 

 

 

EARLY BIRDS BY THE LAKE posed by Eastlake for the photo above.  They were Janet, Faye, Edith, and Nanie & Tom (who were enjoying one last Thursday before going to the Philippines).

 

 

 

LINE DANCING (with lessons) was non-stop from 6 until 7pm, and then off & on until 10pm.  In the photo above, Edith, DJ Bing and Faye were in the front line, more or less, dancing to the line dance "Rio De Amor" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FG9CY3OQWE&t=99s ).

 

 

 

BEFORE EATING,  Beth gave a blessing for the food, and a prayer health of everyone, and for peace in Ukraine. 

 

 

 

 PANCHO VILLA came all the way from Tijuana to sing "Besame Mucho" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvmxM5R-3e0&feature=em-share_video_user ) with back-up dancers Irish, Lou, Florita, Victoria, Sheila, Karina and Lolit.

 

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING alternated with line dances.  In the photo above, I was dancing with 1st-timer Sue to a cumbia "Amor Ala Mexicana" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBkQM9qHCHI )

 

 

 

WINNING COUPLES in the photo above with best Mexican Night attire were Roland & Irish, Tom & Nanie, Connie (Ric took the picture), Cindy & Chito, and Eva & Dwayne.

 

 

 WINNING LADIES in the photo above were Janet, May, Edna, Faye, Victoria, Lou, Florita, Estrelle, Sheila, and Sue, with Josie off camera and Karina giving out the prizes.

 

 

 BAKIT PA SINGERS Faye, Eva, Lolit, Irish, Victoria, Lou and Florita, in the photo above.  I think Lou hustled about to re-create the Bakit Pa Singers to sing their hearts out.  I had not seen the group since 2015 (in photo below).  "Bakit Pa" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2JMc89wUIA ) apparently was popular in the Philippines.

Thursday, May 26, 2022:  NO DANCE.  Other people reserved the clubhouse for that night.


Thursday, June 2, 2022:  SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night best ballroom and line dancing in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
