DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday December 16, 2021

Hello Dancers, 

   You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this Thursday December 16, 2021, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages.  And, Eva plans to celebrate her retirement. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The marvelous DJ Nickie Bascos will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

  MASKS to prevent COVID spread?  Well, the homeowners association has not issued any COVID coronavirus requirements. But, in order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, cough, or other cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

DECEMBER BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY AT EASTLAKE was last Thursday, December 9th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte. Here are a few photos:

 

 

LINE DANCING.  Line dancing was non-stop from 6pm - 7pm.  In the photo above, Irish and Edith are in the front line, more or less, dancing the new line dance "Cold Heart" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1De2dpLmRas ). Ballroom dancing continued off & on until 10pm. 

 

 

  THE POSE BEFORE FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for the photo above before eating a delicious selection of food. There were 33 dancers enjoying the great food during the night.

 

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred ballroom dancing.  In the photo above first-timer Zulma and Julius were joyously dancing to the salsa "Bailando" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73kYWacZd2Q ).

 

 

 

 BIRTHDAY CAKE, well there actually were 2 cakes. The cake in the photo above was baked and decorated by Myra (Veronica).  Besides tasting fabulous, it was a layered cake, with chocolate mousse filling between the layers, and it featured Christmas-themed frosting and decorations.

 

 

BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS in December, Estrelle, Edwin and Carmen joined in singing "Happy Birthday" before blowing out their candles.

This is the best Thursday night hustle dancing in San Diego, and many other types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.

DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday November 4, 2021

Hello Dancers, 

   You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this Thursday November 4, 2021, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The miraculous DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm. Come - for the 15th week back after being closed (mostly for the COVID coronavirus pandemic) for 17 months, AND it'll be the last Thursday in Daylight Saving Time until next March.

  MASKS to prevent COVID spread?  Well, the homeowners association has not issued any COVID coronavirus requirements. But, in order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, cough, or other cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY AT EASTLAKE was last Thursday, October 28th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte. Here are a few photos: 

 

BY THE LAKE.  In the photo above, it was Janet, Jannette, Edith, Nora, Nene and Aurora by the shore of Eastlake early in the evening. 

 

 

LINE DANCING.  Line dancing was non-stop from 6pm - 7pm.  Tom and Delia were in the front line, more or less, in the photo above, with DJ Bing calling the steps to the "Sha La La La" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM49tKHzdlM ). Ballroom dancing continued off & on until 10pm.

 

 

POSE BEFORE FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for the photo above before eating a wonderful selection of food. There were 65 dancers enjoying the great food during the night, surpassing the old record of 63 dancers in 2018.  There were so many beautiful and creative Halloween costumes that I include some of my favorites in the photos below.
