Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday October 2nd, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ), because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week. So, come to the October Birthdays Party on October 9th, especially if you have a birthday in October.
DIRECTIONS: Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with some regular customers.

An ARABIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, September 25, 2025, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a warm and dry night. There were over 50 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers. Here are 8 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebooks:
GROUP PHOTO. Dancers posed for the photo above early in the evening, most in Arabian Night attire.
BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, I got to have the first dance with Gemma. We danced a swing to "Arabia" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8TGz4kuXUw ).
UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Beth, Aida, May and Estrelle in the photo above.
LINE DANCING was a favorite. In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers performed "LIAMOO" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6coQWZjrWc ). In the front line were Merely, Lolit and Irish. Behind them were Remy, Roland and Eva.
"THE FRIENDS" PERFORMED. In the photo above "The Friends" were dancing an Arabian line dance choreographed by Angie. In the front line, more or less, were Angie, Beth, Josie and Nedy (off screen). Behind them were Connie, Sheila, Fe (partially hidden), and Karina.
WINNING COUPLES in Arabian Night attire posed for the photo above. They were John & Fe, Michael & Lolit, Irish & Roland, Geraldine & Romi, and Eva & Dwayne. Josie was a prize donor and handed out prizes, along with Lydia.

WINNING SINGLES (many of them) in Arabian Night attire posed for the photo above. In this photo we see Annie, Karina, Merely, Rossana, May, Analyn, Sally, Jhosie, May, Connie and Sheila. Beth, Gemma, Estrelle, Aida, Eleanor, Nedy, Angie, Josie, Remy, Mary Jane, Evelyn, Susie, and Mona were also winners but were not in the photo above of winners.
VISITING VIP, Susan de los Santos, publisher of the Filipino Press ( https://www.thefilipinopress.com/ ), came Thursday night to promote a November concert by the Ryan Cayabyab Singers ( https://www.facebook.com/TheRCS7/ ). Susan joined some line dancing to "S'Aimera" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjM80ExynZc ).

Thursday, October 23, 2025: HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ). 6pm - 9:30pm. Halloween-costumed dancers vie for prizes. DJ Bing Villafuerte.
It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) Each is a wonderful Thursday night dance at Lola Happy Bistro in National City, with Filipino dances, cha cha and the best cumbia dance on a Thursday night - dancing on a Thursday night in San Diego. While the dancing and music have been non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free one-on-one dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
