Hello Dancers,  

 You are invited to a ST. PATRICK's DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday March 14, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the fabulous DJ Nickie Bascos. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. Green-Irish-attired winners vie for prizes. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Nickie will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A cool but dry night is currently forecast. With the return of Daylight Saving Time, there's apt to be photos by the lake.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A MARCH BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, March 7th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a cool and drizzly night.  There were just over 50 dancers in attendance, thanks in part to three 1st-timers.  LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on with ballroom dances until 10pm.  ANOTHER SPECIAL PERFORMANCE was shortly after, in the photo above.  A group of Eastlake and Tooma dancers performed to "Corrina Corrina" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGg-mtfUKxU ).  In front we see Irish, Eva and Myrna, with Cesar, Merly (hidden), Emma and Roland behind them.

 

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance. Birthday celebrant Ric danced with Connie in the photo above.  It was a slow dance.

A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION was held for February celebrants me & Remy, along with spouses Edith and Christopher, although I didn't know in advance that Remy's birthday is also in February.  The astounding cake by Veronica featured my face on the frosting.  The cake was a delicious chocolate layer cake with a cream filling between the layers.

 

 

 

A BIRTHDAY SERENADE was given to me & Remy & our spouses for us to dance, in the photo above, sung by Romy with vocal assistance from most of "The Friends" dance group.  Romy & The Friends sang "Through The Years" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ4BHM9CgGU ).

A DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, February 1st, with DJ Mel Zaragoza, who drove down from Riverside in light traffic.  In spite of numerous Alerts & Warnings about flooding, and rain early in the day, the skies were clear over Eastlake and there was no rain during the party.  There were just under 20 dancers in attendance.  Here are 5 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Most were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 

  LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on with ballroom dances until 10PM. In the photo above Beth, Roland, Chris, Edith, Irish and Nedy were dancing to "Cold Heart" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1De2dpLmRas )

 BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance. Roland and Isabel danced in the photo above.  It looks like it was a swing dance.

DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday February 1, 2024

Hello Dancers,  

 You are invited to a special DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday February 1, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, as DJ Mel Zaragoza is making a special one-time trip from Riverside for this dance. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Mel will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  UNFORTUNATELY, a cold rainy night is currently forecast, so we'll see who are the hardy party people.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A 70's DISCO NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, January 25th, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a cool but dry night.  There were just over 50 dancers in attendance.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Most were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 THE RING GIRLS held CORRECTED upcoming Thursday night event signs at Eastlake.  They were Annie, Merly, Jhosie and May.  I'd misread the calendar in the previous week.  The February Birthdays Party will be on February 22nd.

 BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, I got to dance a disco swing with Charito.
