NOVEMBER BIRTHDAYS PARTY at Eastlake Thursday November 7, 2024

Hello Dancers,  

  You are invited to a NOVEMBER BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday November 7, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the marvelous DJ Bing Villafuerte, especially if you have a birthday in November.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, roses for birthday ladies and balloons.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A cool and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A HALLOWEEN NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, October 31, 2024, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a cool and dry night.  There were 55 in attendance, thanks in part to 4 first-timers.  Here are 8 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party; most were copied from Facebook posts:

 

  EARLY BIRDS posed by the lake for the last time in daylight this year. Beth, Dan, Juliet, Edith, Alice and Minda posed in the photo above. Daylight Saving Time returns in March.

 

 

  BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Most were in Halloween Night costumes.  Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  UPCOMING EVENTS signs were held by "Ring Girls" Faye, Mae, Jennie and Estrelle in the photo above.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm until almost 7:30 and off & on, alternating with ballroom dances, until 10pm.  In the photo above, "The Friends" - as Geishas - performed a special line dance to "Sukiyaki" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_WuE_AV6kg ), choreographed by Angie.  Eden, Angie and Sheila were in front. Karina, Beth and Josie were in the 2nd line.  Nedy was in back.

 

 

  DANCE LESSON.  Roland taught the line dance "Purple People Eater" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOBe99KufOg ), with Nedy and Annie at his sides.

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES in Halloween Night costumes posed for the photo above.  They were Pete & Aida, Romi & Geraldine, DJ Bing & Janet, Faye & John, Irish & Roland, Fe & Cesar, and Eva & Dwayne (hidden).  Josie was a prize donor, and she handed out prizes. Dan & Beth were also winners, but not in this photo.

 

 

  WINNING SINGLES (plus some interlopers) in Halloween Night costumes posed for the photo above.  In this photo we see Mae, Annie, Minda, Alice, Jennie, Manny, Sheila, Myrna, Estrelle, Eva, Eden, Nedy, Irish, Dwayne, Karina, Angie, Josie, Beth, Rima and Geraldine.  Other winners who were not in this photo were Juliet, Melba, Edna (in next photo), and Myra (Veronica).

 

 

  WINNING SINGLE EDNA, in Nedy's selfie above, had probably the most eye-catching costume, considering the elaborate headdress.

 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
