FILIPINO NIGHT & JUNE BIRTHDAYS PARTY DANCE at Eastlake Thursday June 9, 2022

 Hello Dancers,  

  There will be a FILIPINO NIGHT & JUNE BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY this Thursday June 9, 2022, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, cake, roses & balloons, and prizes for best Filipino attire. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The wonderful DJ Nickie Bascos will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

  MASKS required?  Well, the homeowners association still has a "masks recommended" sign on the door.  In order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, a bad cough, or other serious cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS DANCE PARTY AT EASTLAKE was last Thursday, June 2nd, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, and 30 dancers, taking in stride frequent shuttle rides to nearby HOA bathrooms (the clubhouse bathrooms were temporarily closed). Here are a few photos:

 LINE DANCING (with lessons) was non-stop from 6 until 7pm, and then off & on until 10pm.  In the photo above, Nedy, DJ Bing and Edith were in the front line, more or less, dancing to the new-at-Eastlake line dance "Roll It, Roll It" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw9eJE5yWBc ).

 

 

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the photo above. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and a prayer health of everyone, and for peace in Ukraine. 

 

 

 

 SELFIES were taken by the dozen, especially during ballroom dances.  Besides Nedy, more or less in a front line were Lolit, Mona, Belen and Estrelle, in the photo above.

 LINE DANCING continued off & on until closing time.  In the photo above, Aurora, Josie and Delia were in the front line more or less.  I think the line dance was "Do It In Style" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxeUaO5ljPc ).

 

 

 

 GLEEFULLY DANCING to a ballroom dance, in the photo above it was Janet and Aurora.

 

 

 

 ANIMAL PRINTS WINNING COUPLES posed for the photo above.  They were Aurora & John, Edwin & Josie, and Irish & Roland.  And, there was a little boy who seems to be mystified by what all the older folks are doing.

Thursday, June 30, 2022:  RED, WHITE & BLUE NIGHT at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire.  DJ Nickie Bascos.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night cumbia dancing in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
