DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday June 16, 2022

 Hello Dancers,  

  There will be a DANCE PARTY this Thursday June 16, 2022, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The great DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

  MASKS required?  Well, the homeowners association still has a "masks recommended" sign on the door.  In order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, a bad cough, or other serious cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A FILIPINO NIGHT & JUNE BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY AT EASTLAKE was last Thursday, June 9th, with DJ Nickie Bascos, and 45 dancers. Here are some photos:

 

 

 

 LADIES BY THE LAKE. Chona*, Vicky*, Merly, Aurea, Edith, Ellen*, Remy*, and Lily* posed by Eastlake for the photo above before the dancing began. Five ladies with asterisk (*) were first-timers at the Thursday night Eastlake dance, and they really knew the line dances well.

PANDANGGO SA ILAW. Beth and Nedy danced a version of "Pandanggo Sa Ilaw" (The Candle Dance), a traditional Filipino dance, as part of the Filipino Night celebration.  ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gf8Xa0N2yk )

 

 

 

 LADIES DANCED IN A CIRCLE, a few times.  Jhosie and Sue were more or less in the center of the photo above.

 

 

 THE BIRTHDAY CAKE.  Once again, Myra (Veronica) brought a fabulous layer cake.  This cake was distinguished by the fancy lettering and decoration.

 

 

 THE BIRTHDAY PARTY.  While Josie and Irish cut the cake, others sang "Happy Birthday", even though we found no one with a June birthday.!!

 

 

  AUREA & AURORA were delightfully enjoying their pieces of the Birthday Cake, in the photo above.

  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night cumbia dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
