DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday March 23, 2023

Hello Dancers,  

  You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this Thursday March 23, 2023, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. It'll be the 7th anniversary of Thursday night dancing at Eastlake.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The marvelous DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  Dry weather is forecast.

  MASKS required?  Well, the homeowners association finally removed its "masks recommended" sign on the door a few weeks ago.  In order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, a bad cough, or other serious cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A ST. PATRICK'S DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, March 16th, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a nice-weather night.  There were about 40 dancers.  Here are some photos, most are from the Facebooks, where you can see about 100 nice photos:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In the selfie above from Facebook, John and attire-winner Manny were in the front line, more or less. 

 

 

 

 BEST ST PATRICK'S-ATTIRED COUPLES lined up for photos, like the one above.  They were Jaime & Nedy, Dwayne & Eva, John & Faye, and DJ Nickie & Aurea.  Thanks to prize donors Josie, Liz and Rei.

 

 

 

 BEST ATTIRED SINGLES, ladies plus Manny, were more or less lined up for the photo above. They were Annie, Manny, Edna, Merly, Nedy, Judge Josie, May, Lolit, Karina, Rima, Vi (a first-timer), Estrelle, Susie, Sheila and Nora. Beth and Mona were also winners but they were not in this photo.

  MASKS required?  Well, the homeowners association still has a "masks recommended" sign on the door.  In order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, a bad cough, or other serious cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, February 2nd, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a nice-weather night.  There were 45 dancers.  Here are some photos, including from the Facebooks, where you can see about 200 nice photos:

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In the photo above, DJ Bing was leading the dancers, with Connie and Josie on his right.

 ELVIS PRECISELY came in from Las Vegas for a special performance at Eastlake in the photo above.  Dancers danced to him singing "All Shook Up" and "Don't Be Cruel".

 

 

 

 THE CAKE.  Once again Myra (Veronica) baked a delicious birthday cake for the birthday party.  It was in the photo above.  It was a 3-layer cake with creamy white frosting, and mousse separating the layers.

A CHINESE NEW YEAR NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, January 19th, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a cool drizzling-weather night.  There were 35 dancers.  Here are some photos from the Facebooks, where you can see about 200 nice photos:

 BALLROOM DANCING was frequent, too.  In the photo above, John was dancing with his fiancée Elaine.  John invited the dancers to their June wedding.

 

 

 

 LOLIT WAS SPECIAL in Japanese-style attire in the photo above, so judges and prize donors Josie, Rei and Edith awarded Lolit a special prize.

 

 

 

WINNERS IN THE CHINESE NEW YEAR NIGHT BEST ATTIRE CONTEST lined up for the photo above.  They were Faye, Elaine, Juliet, Minda, Annie, Aurea, Beth, Estrelle, Karina, Nedy, Melba, Edna and Gemma. Not in the photo was Mona. About 8 actual prizes were handed out after random-name drawings.
