VALENTINES & FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday February 10, 2022

Hello Dancers, 

   You are invited to a VALENTINES & FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY this Thursday February 10, 2022, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, and roses for all ladies. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The adorable DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

  MASKS to prevent COVID spread?  Well, the homeowners association has requested mask-wearing to meet COVID coronavirus requirements. In order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, cough, or other cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A DANCE PARTY AT EASTLAKE was last Thursday, February 3rd, with DJ Mel Zaragoza, and 16 dancers, the lowest attendance since May 2018, and a mere 7 weeks after an all-time high attendance. Here are a few photos: 

  

 

LINE DANCING and lessons were non-stop from 6pm - 7pm.  In the photo above, from Nedy's Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/nedy.lao ) where I got most of the photos, Edith, Faye and Janet were in the front line for a current favorite, "Cold Heart" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1De2dpLmRas ).

 

 

 

BEFORE EATING, the dancers posed for the photo above, and then Nedy gave a prayer and blessing for the food.  Line dancing and ballroom dancing continued for hours.

 

 

SWING DANCING was common, and in the photo above Irish and Janet were dancing swing, possibly to Elvis's "Paralyzed" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2iFJmo-hak ).

 

 

 

TANGO.  In the photo above, Edith and DJ Mel were dancing a tango. 

 

 

 

CHA CHA.  In the photo above, Ric and Connie were dancing a cha cha.

 

 

 

 RING GIRL EDITH held signs for the upcoming Eastlake dances in the photo above, including this Thursday's Valentines and February Birthdays party.

Thursday, March 3, 2022:  DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night Filipino-American dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
