FLOWER PRINTS NIGHT Dance at Point Point Joint This Thursday, May 14, 2015

Hi Dancers!

Yes!  It will be Flower Prints Night dance party on the dance floor at Point Point Joint this Thursday night May 14, 2015, the 2nd theme party in 2 weeks!  So, if you have flowery attire, wear it.  This is YOUR INVITATION to join the party.  The fabulous DJ Bing will be playing swing, cha cha, rumba, and much more, and line dancing - which has been non-stop from 6-7pm lately.)  Point Point will offer us dancers their delicious $10 dinner special which includes a soft drink.  (More details below.).   So come on over - Party time:  from 6pm until 10pm at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City.

Last Thursday (May 7th) DJ Bing played to 40 dancers at the Joint. It was MEXICAN NIGHT with lots going on as usual.  The following 9 photos tell part of the story.        (Note: If the following 9 photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):

MEXICAN NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (MAY 7, 2015):

Line dancers had a great time - including non-stop from 6 to 7pm.  While "Bachata Risma" was playing, four lovely ladies paused and posed.  Left to right: Edith, Medy, Gloria and Josie.

Around eight, Romy brought in a treasure trove of treats - avocados.  There was just enough time to snap a photo of the box being opened.  Left to right: Mike (who was one of the MEXICAN NIGHT costume prize winners), Jake, Romy, Nina and Lydia.

In the following frenzy, the avocados were gone in about 60 seconds.

Marilyn and Romy (who had brought in the avocados) won the MEXICAN NIGHT costume grand prize.  Marilyn had made the dress herself, using colors of the Mexican national flag.  Above, they were dancing the rumba "Hey".

Nedy won one of the costume prizes.  Above she was dancing a samba with Art.  Nedy said she'd bought the dress in Tijuana!

Also Penny and Ruben were happily dancing the samba "Bailamos".

Above, Dwayne and Eva were happily dancing on Mexican Night.

Nene and Jake danced a rumba.

I enjoyed dancing "Baila Esta Cumbia" with Ly.

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  For this week's FLOWER PRINTS NIGHT Dance Party on Thursday (May 14, 2015), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual will offer their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego - they are private parties, and this is your invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best cha cha dance lessons in San Diego.
(2) You can click on Links to to many YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this for "Hey").   And, see websites like: this group's Home Page, and Upcoming Dances.
