Hello Dancers,  

 You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday March 21, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the adorable DJ Bing Villafuerte. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A ST PATRICK'S DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, March 14th, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a cool and dry night.  There were just over 70 dancers in attendance, thanks in part to three 1st-timers.  It was an all-time high attendance for Thursday night dancing at Eastlake. There was a lot going on.  Here are 8 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Most were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 

 

 LADIES BY EASTLAKE.  With Daylight Saving Time, there'll probably be a lot of lakeside photos until the fall.  Early birds Nora, Valerie, Edith and Rei posed lakeside in the photo above.

 

 

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Beth gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

 

 FOOD INCLUDING THIS SHAMROCK CAKE, was plentiful for the St Patrick's Dance Party.

 

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance. Next week's DJ, Bing, danced with Janet in the photo above.  It was a slow dance.

 

 

 

 UPCOMING SCHEDULE FOR EASTLAKE THURSDAY DANCES were displayed by Ring Girls Janet, Annie, Edna and Jhosie.

 

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on with ballroom dances until 10pm. In the photo above, "The Friends" group performed a special line dance to "Jamaican Love" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVw1iZp6Hso ).  In front we see Karina, Belen and Connie, with Sheila, Eden, Rei, Beth and Nedy behind them.

 

 

 

 WINNING COUPLES with St Patrick's party attire posed in the photo above, while Judge Edith conducted the random prize-awarding ceremony.  In the photo above we see Bing (with Janet out of view), Charlie & Nida, Roland & Irish, Connie (Ric took the photo), Eva & Dwayne,  John & Elaine, Ver & Ditas, and Frank & Rima.  Cesar & Fe were also winners, but were not in this photo.  Josie donated some prizes and Rei & Lydia helped with prize distribution.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
