FILIPINO NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday June 8, 2023

Hello Dancers, 

     You are invited to a FILIPINO NIGHT DANCE PARTY this Thursday June 8, 2023, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, and prizes for best Filipino attire. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The amazing DJ Nickie Bascos will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A cool and dry night is currently forecast, again.
 
DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A JUNE BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, June 1st, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a nice-weather night.  There were 40 dancers in attendance.  Here are some photos, some copied from Facebooks:

BY THE LAKE.  Early in the evening there were people posing by Eastlake. In the photo above Gemma, Lolet, Edith, Liz, Nora and Rei posed by Eastlake early in the evening.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In the photo above, Rei and Beth were in the front line, more or less, with dancers learning a relatively new one called "Flowers" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Iz74SJVZ7Q ).

BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the photo above. Beth gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

BALLROOM DANCING was plentiful.  In the photo above, Florita and Leo were dancing to the cha-cha "Sofrito" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxDKncEZfkI ).

BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS, Rima, John and Liz, with birthdays in June, posed for the photo above, while they removed candles from the cake.  The cake was a delicious layered carrot cake with mousse filling, baked by Veronica.

Thursday, June 15, 2023:  NO DANCE PARTY at Eastlake. The clubhouse is reserved for another group on that day.


Thursday, June 22, 2023:  DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, June 29, 2023:  RED, WHITE & BLUE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best Red, White & Blue attire.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
