Here's your invitation to the special Filipino Night Dance Party this coming Thursday (June 13th) at Point Point. You can bet your dancing shoes that that DJ Mel will give us a rollicking good time on the dance floor. You can wear Filipino-flavored clothes like a barong or kimona/patadyong or something for the costume contest. We hope to see you there. Today's paper predicts a high of 74 degrees on Thursday, another degree warmer than last week's warm night. Anyway, we'll have non-stop dancing fun from 6-10pm - DJ Mel will be playing line dances and ballroom swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more. Once again Point Point offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.
Last Thursday (June 6th) about 30 dancers had a great time on the Point Point dance floor. My Edith brought a birthday cake for Rima (a reversal from the week before when Rima had brought a birthday cake for Edith). Here are some photo highlights from last Thursday's June 6th party (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "images have been blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):
Here we see Lita, Baby and Florita dancing "Dahil Sa Iyo" around 7:30pm.
A while later Ly and Ruben were spotted dancing together.
Nearing closing time, DJ Mel and Nedy were in front on "Stuck On You".
At closing time Nedy and Estrelle were in front of the "Wobble" dancers.
It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point. Here's the plan for the next few weeks (well, at least until DJ Leo returns from the Philippines):
Thursday June 13th 6-10pm, FILIPINO NIGHT, DJ Mel
Thursday June 20th 6-10om, DJ Bert
Thursday June 27th 6-10pm, ASIA NIGHT, DJ Mel (yes, you can wear your Filipino Night costume again)
Thursday July 4th 6-10pm, FILIPINO-AMERICAN Friendship Night (or Red White & Blue Night), DJ Bert
(The Early Birds start partying around 5:30pm.)
See you on the dance floor,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is your invitation to enjoy dancing in Point Point. Come over now before the summer heat.
